New Campers - Fridge V Esky
A camping set up will come down to a few different things, and money is definitely one of them.
If you are new to camping, it can be pretty daunting when your buying gear.
The upgrade from esky to a 12-volt fridge can cost between $500 and $2,000. Then there is the cost of upgrading to a dual battery set up in the car just to accommodate the new fridge.
Don’t let this sort of thing stop you from getting out camping.
If money is the killer here, use the esky. Sure you will need to find ice supplies but this works fine for weekenders.
Just get the ball rolling and get out there.
Tents, swags, camper trailers, there is some pretty flash gear out there and more often than not, travelers who have been enjoying the outdoor lifestyle for many years, will have multiple set ups for different trips away. The accumulation of camping gear didn’t happen over night, it came from years of travelling.
